Sage is a member of the mint family and is a great herb to add during cooking and is particularly popular in Mediterranean cuisine for its earthy taste.

You can make sage tea for menopause by steeping either fresh or dried sage leaves in hot water. It's a simple, soothing herbal remedy that some find helpful for managing menopausal symptoms. 

Basic sage tea recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh sage leaves or 1 teaspoon of dried sage
  • Optional additions: honey, lemon, or cinnamon for flavor 

Instructions:

  • Heat the water: Bring the water to a boil.
  • Steep the sage: Remove the water from the heat and add the fresh or dried sage leaves.
  • Cover and infuse: Let the tea steep for about 5 to 10 minutes to allow the flavors and beneficial compounds to infuse.
  • Strain and serve: Strain the leaves from the tea and pour it into your mug.
  • Flavor to taste: Add honey or a squeeze of lemon if desired, and enjoy.
